I love the colors and how the flowers middles are bent, almost like a mouths that are ready to feed or have feed. And the bodies emerging is a thoughtful disturbance! The beak is the first thing I looked at, probably much like the character feeling it's ackwardness.. the blushing helps provoke feeling. My only suggestion would be to set the background up like an environment so it feels like it was found in reality. Just a thought. All-in-all... I am always excited when you've come up with something new. Your talent for color, surrealism and detail is beyond average :)

My mind is boggling at painting all those patterns - I think it would have killed me!

The glass is very well done - it is so difficult to make it convincing.

Thanks! Yes, I like to go back and forth between trying to make the glass look realistic or just having it be represented by line and shape.

Thanks! What do you think makes it stand above the others? I agree that there is something really nice about how it turned out. I am wondering if it is because I worked out most of the compositional issues on paper and then transfered it to the canvas. I think it made it feel more complete and resolved, but also that guy is super cute!

I'm kind of getting a blissful worshiper of a nurturing deity as a parasitic twin here (insinuating that both creator and created were conceived at the same time?)- even if I'm wrong-and I often am- I love the concept and execution.
